  🇫🇷  Lundi: ⚓ Horizons Maritimes | " Suspendue au géant"  Une chaloupe du Mircea, photographiée lors de l'Armada de Rouen en 2019. Suspendue en hauteur contre le flanc du grand voilier, elle fait presque partie du décor. La photo est loin d'être exceptionnelle techniquement, mais je trouve la scène jolie. 🙃 Et parfois, c'est tout ce qui compte ! 🇬🇧 Monday: ⚓ Maritime Horizons | " Hanging from the giant"  A rowboat from the Mircea, photographed during the Rouen Armada in 2019. Hanging high up against the side of the tall ship, it almost blends into the background. The photo is far from exceptional from a technical point of view, but I think the scene is lovely. 🙃 And sometimes, that’s all that matters! No AI*

    🇫🇷  Lundi: ⚓ Horizons Maritimes | " Au milieu des géants de granit"  Au détour d'une randonnée sur le GR, au milieu des rochers de granit rose de Perros-Guirec, le phare de Mean Ruz apparaît presque comme un prolongement de la roche. À l'époque, je ne mesurais pas encore toute la place que les phares prendraient dans mon univers photographique. Avec le recul, je regrette de ne pas m'y être attardé davantage… Mais certains rendez-vous méritent parfois qu'on y revienne. ⚓  🇬🇧 Monday: ⚓ Maritime Horizons | "Amidst the granite giants"  Whilst out walking along the GR trail, amidst the pink granite rocks of Perros-Guirec, the Mean Ruz lighthouse almost appears as an extension of the rock itself. At the time, I hadn’t yet realised just how central lighthouses would become to my photographic world. Looking back, I regret not having spent more time there… But sometimes, certain places are worth returning to. ⚓  No AI* 

  🇫🇷  Lundi: ⚓ Horizons Maritimes | "Au mouillage"  Le Sant C’hireg amarré au large. Une mer calme, quelques bateaux au mouillage… et cette belle ambiance maritime que j'aime tant. ⚓ 🇬🇧 Monday: ⚓ Maritime Horizons | "At anchor"  The Sant C’hireg moored offshore. A calm sea, a few boats at anchor… and that lovely maritime atmosphere that I love so much. ⚓ No AI* 

🇫🇷  Lundi: ⚓ Horizons Maritimes | "Passeur de rives"  Jolie photo du bac de Trouville-sur-Mer/Deauville. Pour l'anecdote, « Le Trait-d'Union », le nom de la barque, est vraiment bien trouvé. Le trait d'union entre Deauville et Trouville. Quand vous l'empruntez, n'hésitez pas à y mettre une petite pièce dans la tirelire : le bac est géré et piloté par la SNSM, avec des marins très gentils au demeurant. Perso, à chaque fois que je l'emprunte, mon petit don est de la partie 😉 🇬🇧 Monday: ⚓ Maritime Horizons | "River Ferry man"  A lovely photo of the Trouville-sur-Mer/Deauville ferry. Incidentally, ‘Le Trait-d’Union’, the name of the ferry, is a really apt choice. The link between Deauville and Trouville. When you take the ferry, do pop a small coin into the collection box: the ferry is run and operated by the SNSM, and the crew are very friendly, by the way. Personally, every time I take it, I make sure to make a small donation 😉 No AI* 

  🇫🇷  Lundi: ⚓ Horizons Maritimes | "La Jeune Alexandrine"  Été 2025, le long d'une balade dans la Manche, de Cherbourg à Barfleur, sous un soleil de plomb comme la Normandie sait en faire, que vois-je ? Sortie du port, cachée derrière des blocs de granit, surgit telle un mirage « La Jeune Alexandrine ». Je ne l'ai pas vue. C'est ma chérie qui m'a crié : « Damien, regarde ! » Je me suis retourné et… sprint dans les rochers, à sauter de bloc en bloc par-dessus l'eau, zoom au maximum, réglages à la hâte… et clic 📸 🇬🇧 Monday: ⚓ Maritime Horizons | "La Jeune Alexandrine"  Summer 2025, whilst out for a walk along the English Channel, from Cherbourg to Barfleur, under the blazing sun that Normandy is famous for – what did I see? Just outside the harbour, hidden behind granite boulders, ‘La Jeune Alexandrine’ appeared like a mirage. I didn’t see it. It was my girlfriend who shouted to me: “Damien, look!” I turned round and… sprinted across the rock...

🇫🇷  Lundi: ⚓ Horizons Maritimes | "Sous haute surveillance"  Probablement les Optimists les plus protégés ! 😄 Entre le prof, le sémaphore et le phare, rien ne peut leur arriver. 😉 Enfin… normalement ! 😂 🇬🇧 Monday: ⚓ Maritime Horizons | "Under close supervision"  Probably the best-protected Optimists! 😄 With the instructor, the signal flag and the lighthouse, nothing can happen to them. 😉 Well… normally! 😂 No AI*

🇫🇷  Lundi: ⚓ Horizons Maritimes | "Sous le regard de l'éclipse"  Quand l'immensité de la mer rencontre une lumière irréelle, voilà ce que la nature a offert à ce voilier : un instant hors du temps.   🇫🇷  Lundi: ⚓ Horizons Maritimes | "Entre granit et grand large"  Entre les rochers de la Côte de Granit Rose et le grand large, un voilier paraît presque minuscule face à l'immensité de la mer. Perros-Guirec offre ici un paysage où la terre semble s'arrêter brutalement pour laisser toute sa place à l'horizon. Un instant simple, entre granit, embruns et navigation. 🌊⛵ 🇬🇧 Monday: ⚓ Maritime Horizons | "Between granite and the open sea"  Set against the backdrop of the rocks of the Pink Granite Coast and the open sea, a sailing boat looks almost tiny compared to the vastness of the ocean. Here, Perros-Guirec offers a landscape where the land seems to come to an abrupt end, giving way entirely to the horizon. A simple moment, amidst granite, sea spray and sailing. 🌊⛵ No AI*

  🇫🇷  Lundi: ⚓ Horizons Maritimes | "Là où tout a commencé"  Il y a des photos que l'on garde pour leur beauté. Et il y a celles que l'on garde parce qu'elles ont changé quelque chose en nous. Celle-ci appartient à la seconde catégorie. Cette photo n'est probablement pas la plus impressionnante que j'aie prise. Pas de trois-mâts majestueux, pas de tempête, pas de coucher de soleil spectaculaire. Juste une petite embarcation croisée au retour de Fécamp Grand'Escale 2024. Pourtant, elle compte énormément pour moi. Ce jour-là, j'avais offert à ma famille une sortie à bord de L'Iris.      Depuis tout petit, la mer me fascine. Les bateaux m'ont toujours fait voyager, et la photographie est devenue, avec les années, une seconde passion. Au retour vers le port, nous avons croisé ce marin et son passager, appareil photo à la main. Je les ai photographiés presque sans réfléchir. Puis, quelques jours plus tard, en revoyant cette image, quelque chos...

🇫🇷  Lundi: ⚓ Horizons Maritimes | "L'appel du large"  Certains paysages ne se visitent pas, ils se vivent. Le long des falaises de la Hague, la Manche s'étend jusqu'à l'horizon, tandis que le phare de Goury veille silencieusement au loin.  C'est le genre d'endroit où l'on ralentit sans même s'en rendre compte, simplement pour profiter de l'instant. 🇬🇧 Monday: ⚓ Maritime Horizons | "The Call of the Open Sea"  Some landscapes aren’t just places to visit – they’re experiences to be savoured. 🇫🇷  Lundi: ⚓ Horizons Maritimes | "Parenthèse d'été"  Simple vue sur la jolie plage de Perros-Guirec en Bretagne.  Énormément de soleil qui reflète avec le sable et l'eau, pas évident de faire une photo parfaite.. Mais bon elle reste sympa, non ?  🇬🇧 Monday: ⚓ Maritime Horizons | "A summer interlude"  Just a view of the lovely beach at Perros-Guirec in Brittany.  There’s loads of sunshine glinting off the sand and the water – it’s not easy to get the perfect shot… But still, it’s a nice one, isn’t it?  No AI*

Construite pour protéger le port des assauts de la Manche, elle accompagne depuis des générations les départs, les retours et la vie maritime dieppoise. Aujourd'hui encore, malgré les tempêtes et les années, elle demeure l'un des témoins silencieux du patrimoine maritime normand 🇬🇧 Monday: ⚓ Maritime Horizons | "The Dieppe Lighthouse"  In the mist that gradually obscures the horizon, Dieppe’s western pier seems suspended between sky and sea.
